The Summer Weather is Here, the Beaches are Open! And, the Royal Weekend is Around the Corner!

Hello ILCC Members:

The summer season is here and that means lots of events will be happening at the lake. The Spring Cocktail party was a huge success, with 50 new members attending (a record) and another 170 or so members made for a great night. Special thanks to Beth Tecchio, our Entertainment Trustee, for planning the evening.

Now that our our attention is on beaches, which opened on June 15th, swim lessons began on June 24th this year with a couple of evening sessions too. The ILCC patrol has started their patrol of the lake and club properties to ensure that ALL boats on the water and on the grounds are properly tagged. Lifeguards will also be checking badges down at the beaches, so please have them with you when you visit the beaches. We have noticed many boats on the racks that are not properly tagged, so please put your new tags on as soon as possible.

Fun Weekend will be held on July 13th and 14th this year and we have lots of great events planned to make it another memorable weekend. As a reminder, King & Queen (and Mr. & Mrs. Indian Lake) voting will be held all day on Saturday in the Club Room - so please stop in and vote. King and Queen Weekend will take place Friday, July 26th through Sunday, July 28th.

The first meeting of the newly formed Bay & Lagoon Committee was held at the end of May - it was great to see so many members come out and offer their help in dealing with the issues we have in our back waters. Lots of great ideas were discussed and we are currently exploring our options to determine the best course of action. Updates will be provided as we progress through the process.

Finally, as mentioned in the June Crier, the board is in the process of investigating the Planned Real Estate Development Full Disclosure Act (PREDFDA) to determine our course of action going forward. While we are just in the beginning stages of the process, we are working with counsel and will provide updates to all residents, as warranted.

I look forward to hearing your ideas and feedback, so please feel free to email me at ilccbobcovello@gmail.com.

I look forward to seeing you all around the lake!

Bob Covello ILCC President
