Our Men's Club Makes March Pretty Special!

Hello ILCC Members:

I am writing this message the morning of Super Bowl Sunday having just played in the Men’s Club Ice Golf event yesterday. For those of you who have never played in this event, I suggest you give it a try the next time it is held. A golf club or two, a tennis ball and your favorite beverage is all you need to play. I believe a picture of the participants is included in this Crier. We look forward to seeing you out there next year.

With March upon us, it is once again time for our St. Patty’s Day Party hosted this year by the ILCC Men’s Club. Whether you are Irish or not, this event is always a great time, and knowing what the Men’s Club has in store for this year’s event, I strongly suggest you consider purchasing your tickets early. Tickets are on sale now on the ILCC website. The Board of Trustees will also be holding an event on March 30th, so be on the lookout for details of what I am sure will be another fantastic event.

Having just gone through the coldest stretch of winter so far (thanks to the Polar Vortex), the ice on just about every part of the lake has been great for skating. It is great to see kids (and adults) out on the ice skating or playing hockey. As a reminder, please be careful when you are on the ice, and make sure you are aware of any areas that do not look safe. Enjoying time out on the ice is one of the many great things the lake has to offer, but it can sometimes be dangerous, and we want everyone to remain safe.

Membership sign up time is May 1st and applications will be included in the April Crier. As we all know, membership is the engine that drives the ILCC and we look forward to continuing our upward trend in membership base and also nonmembers paying their fair share upkeep fee. Without your commitment to membership we would not be able to do the things necessary to maintain and improve our lake and community.
