March • Slainte & Our St. Patty's Day Dinner ah la O'Rankin! And, it's Membership T
March 2018 - President's Message:
Greetings ILCC Members and Indian Lake residents!
As you’re reading this, St. Patty’s Day is nearly upon us! I am happy to say your very own Bar
Trustee Paul Rankin is bringing back the St. Patty’s Day Dinner as part of a Fun Saturday. Now, I’m not sure whether he’s got any Irish in him, but he promises to put out a big spread. Look for the details in the Crier. We’ll have to run a DNA test on Paul later to see if he has any Patty in him. Keeping in mind that you can’t have enough Irish fun in March the Women’s Club will host a St. Patty’s themed Fun Friday as well. Be sure to swing by the clubhouse and get your Irish on! At the end of the month on the 25th make sure to visit the clubhouse for some Easter Fun thanks to the Women’s Club.
Indian Lake is an amazing place and the events are just a piece of the magic. Just last week, I was able to see a bald eagle near North Shore perch high atop a tree looking down on our great lake. Whether you’re taking in great sunsets, hooking into a fish, jumping in a kayak or walking around the lake for some exercise, the fact is there is something to do for everyone.
Membership and even simple residency has its privileges. Whatever you do … the fact is you do so because we have a community like no other. Membership sign up time is starting early this year, giving each of us a great opportunity to renew or join for the first time. I look forward to continuing to see our membership base grow and more non-members paying their fair share upkeep. Help us keep Indian Lake as the strongest lake in the HUB!
Lastly, I continue to look for ideas and feedback from each of you via ilccmikegavin@gmail.com. Don’t be shy. While I can’t guarantee that we can do it all, I can assure you that anything you send me will be considered.
Thank you for your time and attention. Have a wonderful March!
Slainte!
Mike Gavin ILCC President
