The lowering process began on Wednesday, October 4, 2023.  As the lake lowers, please remove your boats, canoes, kayaks, etc., from the lake. It is easier to do it now while the lake is full of water rather than trying to do it when your watercraft are down in the mud and muck.  Indian Lake will remain lowered until roughly mid-November which is approximately six (6) weeks from the date lowering began.

During this time, please tend to any dock or seawall repairs that are needed. Remove any muck using buckets, let it dry out and dispose of it.

IMPORTANT NOTE: MACHINERY IS NOT PERMITTED IN THE LAKE WHEN IT IS DRAWNDOWN.

Also, when the lake is lowered there will be an increase in need to use the South Shore boat ramp.

DO NOT park your cars and trailers in the South Shore Road lot.

Please be courteous to your fellow boat owners who have larger boats (i.e., pontoon boats) and will need the open space to maneuver and back their trailers down the boat ramp.

Please contact our Boat Trustee Mike Weldon at ilccboats@gmail.com with any dock related questions.
