November 2017 - President's Message:

Hello Indian Lake!

As I write this message, we just held our Annual Member Meeting. It was great to see about 10% of our members, would be even better to see more. While this meeting had better attendance than most, we have room for improvement. Thank you to the members who stuck it out for over 3 hours. The members in attendance were engaged, listened, provided feedback and asked some great questions. We are working hard to be transparent and this meeting is a big part of that. To step it up a notch, we will post the meeting minutes and my annual message online for the first time…we are in the digital age and the ILCC is evolving. Special thanks for the Women’s Club for ear marking $20,000 for future clubhouse renovations/rebuild. Now, this doesn’t mean we are moving forward with the project, but it does display how a Sub-Club can help positively impact a project.

Please join me in welcoming our newest Trustee Brian Berger. Brian has lived in the lake for 6 years and will assist multiple Trustees on the Board as the Special Project Trustee. Even though we have officially filled the only available Board position, I encourage you to reach out for Ron Toffolo if you are interested in being on the Board. It’s helpful to know who might be interested in joining the Board because you never know when a spot will be available.

Throughout the NFL season the Men’s Club hosts Monday Night Football … so come out, grab a dog and take in a game with some friends. Don’t forget the Holiday Cocktail Party will be coming up on December 2nd, make sure you get your tickets early in November … they will be going fast. < this just in - the cocktail party is SOLD OUT as of November 11th! >

November is the month to be thankful! Find the time to be thankful for your family, friends and this great lake of ours. In our busy lives it’s often difficult to stop and breath, make it a priority. I’m thankful for my amazing wife, two awesome kids … not mention three great pets!

I hope each of you have a Happy Thanksgiving and enjoy the start of the holiday season.
