Charlie’s family built a house on Reikens Trail in 1923. His brother, John, was the first baby born in Indian Lake. Charlie gave us the loving cup won by his siblings in the 1927 Baby Parade. The cup was presented by the Woman’s Auxiliary of Indian Lake 81 years ago! Thank you, Charlie. What a great Fun Weekend! The weather and the participation couldn’t have been better. Thank you to all of the Woman’s Club members who were our representatives at the King and Queen voting on Saturday and thanks to Nancy Witte and everyone who worked the tee shirt table. Lots of tee shirts were sold!! Congratulations to King Tim, Queen Ali and to Scott and Vicki Dixon as Mr. & Mrs. Indian Lake. Thank you to Helen Shoghi and Janet Cisco for all of their work to make Martini Tasting Night a success. The mojitos and daiquiris were new and pleasant additions. The all models for the Barbara Jean Fashion Show at our July 22nd meeting did a great job. Many thanks are due to all of the Tricky Tray volunteers and donors. The Tricky Tray is an enormous undertaking. We appreciate the help of so may people especially Helen Shoghi who organized it all. The time and effort of all of these volunteers contribute to the community feeling in Indian Lake and help to make it such a great place to live. Thank you all!! If you are a member of the Indian Lake Community Club, you are most welcome to join the Woman’s Club at any time and be part of the fun. If you have any questions or ideas for our club, give me a call and let’s talk. Woman's Club President 973-625-0545
