y New Year to ever                                                                          July News

I love this time of the year!  The warm weather is upon us and the lake is bustling with a lot of activities.  This years fishing contest was a blast and the weather held out for most of the time but it certainly didn’t deter the kids from coming out and having a great time.  This year we saw more that seventy kids fish in the tournament. There were a lot of happy faces as the kids bought their fish in to be sized up.  I want to thank John Cisco for coordinating the event once again and the rest of the Men’s Club members who helped out.   This is a great community event that has been going on for years and by the turn out one of the best!

Last month we had our annual Men’s Club BBQ.  We had some new faces come out to enjoy our BBQ and find out what we do for Indian Lake.  I would like to personally welcome our new members and encourage anyone interested in finding out more about the Men’s Club to come down to one of our meeting at the club house the first Monday of the month at 8:00 pm.

The 4th of July Boat Parade kicks off at 5:30 down at the boat docks.  This on going tradition will be lead by the Men’s Club once again.  Those interested in joining the event need to get your boat dressed up in your best 4th of July garb and join in on the event.  We have seen some interesting boats in the past.  Fun Weekend is finally here and the Men’s Club will once again be sponsoring the clams and the beer tent.  We are also working on some new and exciting things for the weekend as well.

The Men’s Club will host their annual ILCC Golf event on Friday, Sept. 17th at 8am. The Golf Outing will take place at Bowling Green Golf Club.  Sign up brochures will be available on Fun Weekend or just ask any Men’s Club member.  Start grabbing your foursomes.

About the Men's Club

We help with various projects that need to be addressed throughout the lake.  We do this by giving funding to help cover the cost or if needed do the work our selves.  Throughout the year we run events like St Patrick’s Day, a Children’s fishing contest, Superbowl Sunday, a Golf Outing and Comedy night to name a few.  These community events are a fun way to raise money for the lake and enjoy sometime with family and friends.

Over the past two years we have donated our time and money to help construct the swim docks.  We also funded & built the dock extension.  This project will be finished up this coming spring.  This year we will focus on replacing the clubs garage doors.  This repair has been due for quite some time and the Men’s Club is committed to fund and repair them.  There are many other projects that the Men’s Club will champion though out the year.  Hopefully this tradition will continue for years to come.

For those interest in becoming a Men’s Club member or simply would like find out exactly what we do.   We host a monthly meeting the first Monday of the month, down at the club house.  Our meetings begin at 8 p.m.  We are always on the look out for new members who are looking to help out and contribute to our lake community. Feel free to come on down to one of our monthly meetings or simply email me.
