ILCC Members The board of trustees of the ILCC is attempting to amend the current ILCC bylaws, last amended in 1980. The goal is to update, clarify, and simplify the previously existing bylaws. As stipulated by the current bylaws, we will have a Special Meeting of the membership on Monday Aug. 25th at 8 p.m. to vote on the changes. All members are encouraged to attend. Exclusive of grammatical and clerical changes, the primary changes proposed are;
1) Reducing the number of voting districts in Indian Lake from six to three. 2) Giving flexibility to the board in the scheduling of the annual meeting and elections. 3) Increasing the voting eligibility of each household from one voter per household to two voters per household. 4) Lowering the voting age from 21 to 18. 5) Allow for electronic (email, webpage, etc) notifications of events and issues to membership rather than requiring conventional “mail” notification. 6) Allowing the ILCC board to appoint non-elected board members if in mid-term or if uncontested in annual elections. 7) Limiting the ability of any one board member, including the treasurer, to expend ILCC monies with out the approval of other designated ILCC officers. Please review the full text of the current and proposed bylaws. I would like to urge all members of ILCC to attend this important Meeting.
Thank You John Cisco President ILCC
